Acusis Contributes $15,000 to Pittsburgh Zoo to Benefit Local Programs for Children

 

PITTSBURGH, PA – 31 August 2004 – Acusis® LLC, a leading provider of medical transcription services, based in Pittsburgh, has donated $15,000 to the Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium to fund programs that help underprivileged and special needs children enjoy the Zoo and its conservation education programs.

The Pittsburgh Zoo & PPG Aquarium is world renowned for breeding of threatened and endangered species and animal research and for its special programs to benefit the local community. Recently, the Zoo upgraded already impressive exhibits, including completion on work that made the stingray and shark tank an interactive exhibit. New exhibits at the Zoo include a PPG Aquarium attraction, featuring leafy and weedy sea dragons, and a new Asian habitat for the Komodo dragon. The Pittsburgh Zoo boasts attendance of nearly 800,000 annually.
