ACUSIS TO ACQUIRE MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTION ASSETS OF SPi
PITTSBURGH –August 5, 2011 – Acusis, LLC, www.acusis.com a leader in medical transcription solutions, announces that it has agreed to purchase the medical transcription assets of SPi America LLC/SPi Technologies, Inc. (SPi), a global business process outsourcing company with headquarters in the Philippines. The transaction is expected to close by the end of August 2011.
The SPi medical transcription business includes approximately 500 employees in the United States and the Philippines who will join the Acusis team, led by Acusis CEO Ray Dyer. “The SPi acquisition demonstrates our commitment to bring our high-quality secure, accurate and timely clinical documentation solutions to a broader customer base,” said Dyer. “The acquisition is indicative of the transcription market’s trend toward utilizing a global approach to meet increasing demand for scale and round-the-clock reliability.”
